Michelle began work in 1999, as a speech and language therapist, for a residential school for pupils with Autism. She moved to the NHS in 2002 and continued work within the educational sector. She became a specialist speech and language therapist during her time in the NHS.

Michelle moved to Lincolnshire in 2005, with her family and began  Speech Linc, as an independent speech and language service.

During the start up, she also consulted as a specialist speech and language therapist for Guernsey's special schools. 

Michelle is the Local group co ordinator for speech and language therapists in independent practice, registered with Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice. (ASLTIP)

Michelle is trained in SCERTS and has experience of Alternative Augmentative Communication systems (PECs, TD Snap, makaton). She was the Speech and language therapist on the ITV documentary about Selective Mutism, "My Child's not perfect,"  episode 1, Dec 2011. 

She holds full day contracts with primary schools. 

She is the local group Co ordinator for ASLTIP
